<br />the Board of Police Chiefs and Sheriffs at least ninety (90) days in <br />advance of the funding requirement. <br /> <br />6.5 Grant Funding: Grant funding provided by the California Office of <br />Homeland Security will be used to offset the start-up costs for the <br />Node. The primary use of these funds will focus on infrastructure <br />and paying for data integration fees for the original Member <br />Agencies. The County of San Mateo will manage all aspects of <br />payment and reporting for grant funding. <br /> <br />6.6 Future Grant Funding: Member Agencies that apply individually <br />for grant funding for this system should notify the West Bay Region <br />Node Board of Chiefs and Sheriffs to avoid duplicative efforts and <br />requests for funding. Any grant funding which may result from <br />such applications will be considered to be outside of this MOD. The <br />Member Agencies may choose to apply jointly for grant funding and <br />upon the written agreement of the Member Agencies; such monies <br />shall fall under the jurisdiction of this MOD. <br /> <br />6.7 Melllber Agency Elllployees: Employees of a Melllber Agency <br />working for the benefit of the Node relllain the elllployees of that <br />Member Agency. <br /> <br />7 Financial Oversight and l\lanagenlent <br /> <br />7.1 Node Costs: After the Grant Funding is exhausted in 2011, Melnber <br />Agencies shall pay a proportional share of software purchases, <br />software 111aintenance, illlplelllentationt, net\vork, hardware and <br />operational costs as approved by the WestBay Region Node as <br />approved by the Board of Chiefs and Sheriffs. <br /> <br />7.2 Annual Budget: Each year, San Mateo County Sheriffs Office shall <br />prepare an annual budget for approval by the Board of Chiefs and <br />Sheriffs that includes the share of cost for each Member Agency. <br /> <br />7.3 Annual Report: At least once per year, San Mateo County Sheriff s <br />shall report to the Board of Police Chiefs and Sheriffs on all funds <br />collected and expended by the West Bay Region Node Consortium <br />in support of the COPLINK project. <br /> <br />7.4 Payment Administration: San Mateo County Sheriffs Office shall <br />administer payments to all vendors and invoice Member Agencies <br />for their share of cost. <br /> <br />WEISS West Bay Region Node MOU Agreement <br /> <br />Page 8 of 48 <br />
