General: Provide integrated, all solid state adjustable frequency drives (VFD) <br />complete with Incoming Une reactors. Provide all additional components <br />necessary to meet IEEE 519 as described below. System shall comply with <br />NEMA ICS 1, 3. 4, 3.1. 4, and 6. 18.pulse drives PWM technology drives <br /> <br />B. Manufacturers: Products of the following manufacturers are acceptable, subject to <br />conformance with these SpecificatIons: <br />1. Cutler-Hammer P9000 (is-pulse). <br />2. Allen-Bradley. <br />3. Or equal. <br /> <br />C. Operation: Accomplish speed control by adjusting the output frequency according <br />to the desired reference speed. Adjust ac voltage and frequency simultaneously to <br />provide the constant volts/Hertz necessary to operate the motor at the desired <br />speed. The VFD must use pulse width modulation (PWM) technology. <br /> <br />D. Rating: <br />1. Une Voltage: 460 volts, -5% continuous, -10% momentary, +100/0, 3 phase. <br />2~ Line Frequency: 60 Hz, 2 Hz <br />3. Ambient Temperature: 50C to 400C <br />4. Altitude: Up to 3,300 feet above sea level. <br />5. Service Factor: 1.15. Service factor is defined as: The VFD current rating <br />operating continuously shall be 115% of motor nameplate current. <br />6. Power Factor: Above 0.92 at full speed and rated load. <br />7 Suitable for use with constant torque loads and having a 150% overload <br />capacity for one minute In addition to Service Factor. <br /> <br />E. Performance: <br />1. Efficiency: Above 95% at 100% full speed, above 93% at 70% full speed, both <br />for centrifugal pump loads. <br />2. VFD Inrush Current: As required to start motor. . <br />3. Duty Cycle: 6 starts per hour. <br />4. Speed Range: 34% to 100% full speed, with adjustable minimum and <br />maximum speeds. <br /> <br />F. Features: <br />1. Provisions to accept the following control signals for automatic and manual <br />operation: <br />a. Run signal from a single remote contact closure; and <br />b. A 4-20 mA dc signal for speed control. The VFD shall provide linear speed <br />control of the motor from minimum speed to maximum speed as the <br />adjustable speed input signal varies from its minimum to maximum. Input <br />impedance shall be 250 ohms resistive. <br />2. Selector switch for automatic, manual or off. <br />3. Potentiometer for manual speed control. <br />4.
