Pumps shall operate without excessive noise or vibration over the full operating <br />range Indicated in the Pump Schedule. Vibration shall meet Hydraulic Institute <br />standards. <br />1. The bowl shaft and IIneshaft shall have their first critical shaft speeds at no less <br />than 125% of maximum speed. <br />2. Pumps shall not operate at reed critical frequency within the range between <br />80% of the minimum operating speed and 125% of the maximum speed <br />Indicated on the Pump Schedule. <br />3. The torsional natural frequency of the shaft shall be at feast twice the torsional <br />exciting frequencies of the pump. <br /> <br />C. Actual tested horsepower of each pump. with flnallmpeller trim, shall not exceed <br />motor nameplate horsepower at any point on the pump curve. <br /> <br />2.03 EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />A. Provide vertical turbine pumps including bowl assembly, column, line shaft and <br />guides, discharge head and electric motor. Comply with construction features of <br />ANSIIAWNA E101 (last published version - although E101 has been rescinded, <br />provisions are still applicable as referenced In this Specification) except where <br />Indicated differently In this Specification. Materials of construction shall be as listed <br />in Table 1 of E1 01 except where Indicated differently in this Specification. <br /> <br />C. Pump Construction: <br />1. Bowl assembly: <br />a. Provide pump bowls of cast Iron, Interior fired porcelain lined. <br />b. Provide "0" ring seals. <br />c. The impeller shaft shall be of Type 316 stainless steel and shall be <br />supported by low zinc bronze bearings. Bearings shall properly fit housing <br />without knurling the housings or bearings. <br />d. The Impellers shall be of the enclosed type and shall be of C87500 <br />manganese bronze and of heavy construction, accurately fltted, statically <br />and dynamically balanced to Hydraulic Institute Standards. <br />e. Provide bronze wear rings on Impellers and bowls. <br />2. Discharge column assembly: <br />a.
