<br />4) Suction and Discharge Air Release Valves to be furnished and <br />Installed by Contractor under a separate contract. <br /> <br />D. Motors: Refer to section ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVES attached. <br /> <br />2.05 EXISTING SUCTION BARRELS: <br /> <br />A. Suction barrels for the Main Pumps are existing (refer to the shop drawing in <br />Attachment A, and Paragraph 1.05). Based on preliminary measurements, the <br />pump mounting flanges of all five (5) existing barrels appear to exceed the pump <br />manufacturer's maximum allowable tolerance for level. The Contractor, under a separate contract, will machine the top surface of all five <br />suction barrers in the field to within 0.002 inches per foot of true level prior to pump <br />installation. <br /> <br />2.06 VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES (VFDS) <br /> <br />A. The driven motors supplied by the Pump Manufacturer shall be compatible with a <br />VFD over the required speed range for each pump. The VFDs will be furnished by <br />Contractor under a separate contract. However, the Pump Manufacturer shall <br />submit motors that are compatible with the VFD specIfication (attached for <br />reference). <br /> <br />B. Submit a written affidavit stating that the submitted motor Is compatible with the <br />.speclfled VFD, and attach a copy of the VFD specification In the submittal. <br />1. Note that in a separate contract, the VFD manufacturer will be submittIng a <br />signed affidavit stating the VFD Is compatible with the furnished motors. The <br />approved motor submittal will be furnished to the VFD mao.ufacturer to facilitate <br />selectIon and coordination of a compatible VFD. <br /> <br />2.05 PROTECTIVE COATINGS <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />A. Provide pumps, motors, and bases with the manufacturer's standard factory-applied <br />coating/lining system for long-lasting corrosion protection. (Except that Inside of <br />bowls shall be fired porcelain lined). Proylde appropriate returns to prevent lifting of <br />the coatings by dynamic pressure.
