<br />C. Under a separate contract. Contractor will be applying a finish color coat to the <br />visible surfaces in the field (including discharge head and motor). The finish color <br />coat will be compatible with the factory-applied coating. Submit coating product data <br />to facilitate correct selection of finish coat product by the Contractor. <br /> <br />2.04 SEISMIC REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. Entire pump and installation including motor, discharge head, anchors, column, <br />drive shaft, pump bowls and impellers and fasteners shall comply with these seismic <br />requirements <br /> <br />B. The entire pump and installation including motor, discharge head, anchors, column. <br />drive shaft, pump bowls and impellers and fasteners shall be so designed and <br />installed as to be In conformance to all requirements of the International Building <br />Code for the edition adopted by the governing jurisdiction, both for vertical and <br />lateral loading. <br /> <br />C. The applicable seismic zone for this project Is Zone 4. <br /> <br />D. All equipment furnished under this contract shall be considered essential and shall <br />be designed and anchored to resist seismic forces appropriate for this seismic zone. <br />Such equipment or facilities shall be functional during and after an earthquake. <br />Anchorage or restraints shall be so designed as to resist the greater of the specified <br />or code required forces acting in any direction. <br /> <br />E. The design of the entire anchoring system, and the furnishing of any part of the <br />anchoring system which must be integral with the furnished equipment, shall be the <br />responsibility of the manufacturer or supplier. <br /> <br />F. Shop drawings for seismic anchorages shall be submitted by the Pump <br />Manufacturer, and shall include calculations, details, and other data demonstrating <br />that equipment has been designed and constructed to safely transfer seismic <br />Induced loads through the equipment and to the anchorage systems without failure <br />of equipment components.
