July 16, 1956.

ATTi.1:NTION:

Your Honor, The j.fayor, City Council l"lembers and To
Nhom it may Concern.

\ife the O'\lmers of prperty Lot 12 Block 16, ~iood side
'rerrace 114, which address is 2054 ~'lashington Ave., Redt'lood City,
have a 5 ft. Easement on the South\fflsterly side of property as
described on map 1..rhich \'J'as given to }!r. Dodge.

!/fe the property owner are making an appeal and would
like to have this 5 ft. Easement, which is a non-useab1e Easement
not being used by either Pacific Gas and Electric or Pacific
Telephone and Telegraph Co., Abolldoned by the city of Redwood
so that we may construct a car port in the rear of property.
That 1v'Ould let us build two feet from side px,$erty line
and 5 ft. from back of property line. If we stayed 5 ft.
out from southwesterly side of p~erty line, it \-lould cause a
hinderance in driving to back of property asrdt would make it a
curved drive and come too close to corner of dvrelling. By being
able to have 3 ft. of the 5 ft. Easement , it '\"ould give us a
direct straight drive to car port from front.

,

The other Public Utilities and City Attorney have been
contacted andI understand that it has to be appealed before you,
Your Honor, and City Council to have this abandoned.

We would appreciate your immediate attention on this
matter as we are unable to build until we have the city
abondonment on the rights of their holding on this easement.

Very truly Yours,

f ~:~~:~ George ~ Har~son.
Lrcr ~ /r;~
