The proposed radiation levels are wen within the allowable limits as set by the FCC per the
applicant's R/F report. The report states that 2.0ok of Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) for
general population/uncontrolled exposure at the ground level and 5.0% of MPE at the second
floor elevation of any nearby building.
. TheappHcation is limited to the addition two (2) antennas of simitar dimensions to the monopole
which currently consists of four (4) antennas. for a total of six (8) antennas after the work is
completed.
. Radiation associated with these types of installations is subject to review by the F.e.C. arld not
the City of Redwood City.
. Conditions related to radiation are provided to ensure that the public has access to this
information; however, it is not the City's responsibility to enforce regulations related to radiation.

Conditions:
10. No increases in frequency, power, or intensity, including electric and magnetic field strength,
power density, and average exposure time that exceed Federal Communications Commission
(F.C.C.) regulations for such facilities shall be allowed.
11. No additional communications equipment shall be allowed at this property pursuant to this Use
Permit.
12. In addition to the above conditions, the applicant shall obtain a Building Permit prior to beginning
work on the installation.
13. Independent field strength or power density measurements (by an independent company
and at the expense of the applicant) shall be provided to the Zoning AdmInistrator within
30 days of issuance of a permit to activate the facility by the Redwood City Building and
Inspection Services.
b. A baseline field strength and power density measurement of the subject area shall also
be provided to the Zoning Administrator prior to the activation of the proposed facility. The
applicant shall work with the adjacent property owner so that field measurement( s} can be
made from that property.
14. It is the ongoing obligation of the telecommunications carrier to maintain the facility with the
highest quality equipment available to insure the lowest possible R/F emission levels, lowest
noise levelst and the least aesthetic impact possible.
15. In the event of significant changes to the originally-approved operation of the subject facilfty. the
City may require evidence from Sprint-Nextel documenting that the subject facility is operating
within the allowable F.e.C. reguLations.
16.
