The Zoning Administrator was able to make the following findings and
the applications for Use Permit and Architectural Permit were approved, subject to the conditions of
approval listed below:

1. Noise
Findings:
. The proposed equipment is expected to operate on a 24-hour basis. The application indicates
that the eq~ipment-'.vill be placed on tho roof top of the building and two (2) additional antennas
will be installed on an existina 18~foot tall monopole and would be of similar dimension and color
as the four (4) existina antennas on the monopole \\'iH be coreened fromwhich would minimize its
view from the public right-of-way. The City anticipates that the equipment on the roof top will not
have any impact of noise and vibration to any significant level as perceived by adjoining
properties on California Way.
. The telecommunications facility is anticipated to require maintenance at a maximum of twice a
month but at least once per year. The applicant has assured the City that aU maintenance
activities will occur on weekdays during daytime hours. Noise from these maintenance activities
is not expected to adversely impact adjacent properties.

Conditions:
1. The wireless facility shall be maintained (inside and out) to an optimal working condition at aU
times.
2. Any significant increase in sound levels reported by the neighbors, as determined by the City,
shall be promptly and expeditiously repaired and reduced to the originally approved sound levels.
In the event that sound levels are determined to be significantly higher (as determined by the
City, but generally 3~5 db above ambient noise level) than anficipated, the City may revise the.
conditions of this Permit in order to bring the proposed equipment noise to a satisfactory level, as
determined by the City.
3. Installation of the new unmanned facility shall comply with Chapter 24 of the Redwood City
Municipal Code for construction in or near residenti.al districts.
4. Construction vehicles and equipment shall park and be placed on site and not within the
residential neighborhood for the installation of the unmanned telecommunication facility so that
the residential neighborhood is not disturbed by construction activities.
5. Routine maintenance of equipment shall be generally conducted during the hours of 7 AM to 8
PM weekdays, per Redwood City Municipal Codet not including holidays. Emergency repairs
and maintenance shall be. conducted only in the cases of power outages and equipment failure or
malfunction. The Zoning Administrator made the finding that the antennas, miorowave di&hes, and assoGiateQ
equipment additional antennas are not noticeable because they antennas will be SGreonedare of
similar dimension as the existfno antennas and would be oainted to match said antennas and the
monopole to m3toh the exterior of the building. The equipment ~.vjIJ be placed within tho oonfines
of the rooftop sorOOA wall and will not be visible to adjacent proporties or to~

Conditions:
6. All conduit and any other mechanical/electrtcal connectors shall be completely concealed or
painted to match the building.
7. The proposed antennas.,....miGrO}Af.QVO~, and equipmQnt shall be painted to match the building iR
oolGrexistinq antennas on the monooole if visible to the~.
