<br />EXHIBIT -A: <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A - SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />This Exhibit A - Scope of Services describes West Yost Associate's (WY A's) proposed services for the <br />City of Redwood City (City) Water Master Plan project. The scope responds to the City's Request for <br />Proposal, dated April 1, 2009, as updated based on clarifications provided during the meeting between <br />Redwood City, G&E and WY A held on September 8, 2009, and subsequent followup conversations. This <br />Exhibit A includes three sections: Scope of Work, Budget, and Schedule. <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br /> <br />WY A's scope of work includes 11 tasks, each of which is described below. Each task includes an <br />objective, anticipated work tasks, task deliverables and task assumptions. <br /> <br />Task 1 Project Management <br />Objective: <br /> <br />Use project management tools including systems for tracking work progress and expenditures, proactive <br />communications, "right" staffing, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plan to keep project <br />on schedule and budget. <br /> <br />Vvork Tasks: <br />TASK 1.1. PREPARE PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> <br />Prepare a Project Management Plan that defines the formal procedures for communications and the scope <br />and objectives, deliverables, budget, and schedule for the project; and basic information on the anticipated <br />work product. <br /> <br />TASK 1.2. CONDUCT PROJECT PROGRESS MEETINGS <br /> <br />WY A will conduct a kickoff workshop with City staff within one to two weeks after receiving notice to <br />proceed. At the kickoff workshop, WY A will review initial goals and priorities of the study, present an up- <br />to-date Project schedule with key milestones identified for the Project, and will conduct an in-depth review <br />of the water system with engineering and operational staff to collect information on system operation, <br />adequacy, areas of concern, and known deficiencies. During this workshop, WY A will provide the City <br />with a data request summarizing any data that will be required for the Project. <br /> <br />In addition to the kickoff workshop WY A will also conduct regular conference calls and as-needed face- <br />to-face meetings (up to monthly, depending on Project needs) to review Project status, including: <br /> <br />. Work completed during the latest reporting period, <br /> <br /> <br />. Work anticipated to be completed during the next reporting period, <br /> <br /> <br />. Identified problems/issues that could affect Project budget/expenditures and/or schedule, <br /> <br /> <br />. Outstanding issues to be resolved, and <br /> <br />October 22, 2009 <br />
