<br />6.1F <br />Page 1 0 <br />Attachment #3 <br /> <br /> <br />463 Brewster Street <br />Suite 4 <br />Redwood City, Ca. 94063 <br /> <br />Event Plan - 2~10 Annual July 4th <br />Independence Day Celebration <br /> <br />Event Summary <br /> <br />The Peninsula Celebration Association (PC A) is requesting a special events permit to conduct the 7ih annual <br />Independence Day Celebration in Redwood City on Sunday, July 4,2010. For this year's celebration activities, <br />the PCA will conduct the following events: <br />1. The Invitational Parade to follow the same route as in previous years. <br />2. The Arts & Crafts Festival to be configured with craft and community service booths in a double <br />row (back-to-back) on Middlefield between Marshall and Veterans Blvd. A children's activity area <br />will be located on Bradford between Middlefield and Jefferson. <br /> <br />Additional events to be conducted in conjunction with the overall July 4th Celebration activities are: <br />3. Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Service Department will hold its annual Fun Run <br />before the parade. The Fun Run to be done along the parade route. <br />4. Let's Talk Events will hold a car show around the Courthouse Square on Broadway between <br />Winslow and Middlefield and on Hamilton and Middlefield between Broadway and Marshall. <br /> <br />As done in previous years, each of the participating groups listed above will sign a Memorandunl of <br />Understanding (MOD) that outlines the specific areas of their responsibility. <br /> <br />Event Details <br /> <br />1. The Invitational Parade <br />The annual Independence Day parade will begin at 10:00 AM. The parade may include decorated floats, <br />marching bands, drill teams, vintage and/or municipal vehicles, equestrian units, civic officials, invited guests, <br />participating sponsors, and other entries as approved by the peA. The parade organizers may, at their <br />discretion, limit the entries in any category. <br /> <br />The Parade Route will be defmed as starting at Winslow 81. and Brewster Ave. proceeding to Veterans <br />Blvd., turning right into the South bound lanes of Veterans Blvd. proceeding to Main 81., turning right <br />onto Main St. proceeding to Marshall St., turning right onto Marshall 81. proceeding to Arguello 81., <br />turning right onto Arguello St. and terminating at Alden Street. <br /> <br />peA 2010 July 4th Event Plan <br /> <br />Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br />Revised 3/8/2010 <br />
