<br />6.2D <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />The primary objective of JMSA funding is to quickly create jobs. Expeditious <br />expenditure of funding is stipulated in the federal bill and by MTC to achieve the <br />intended objective. The project contract must be signed by May 28, 2010. Staff is <br />confident that this project can be readied within the given time period. In the event the <br />JMSA is not enacted, or if the funding amounts are lower than anticipated, staff may <br />modify or eliminate components of the 2009-2010 Street Pavement Overlay project. <br /> <br />AL TERNA TIVES <br />Council may choose to direct staff not to pursue JMSA funding. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The estimated cost of the expanded 2009-2010 Street Pavement Overlay project is <br />$2,730,000. Fiscal Year 2009/10 Capita/Improvement Program budget allocations for <br />this project total $910,000.
