<br />. Perform research on how other communities in California have adopted and <br />implemented local CEQA guidelines. Up to 10 communities will be surveyed. <br />A brief memo outlining the results of the research will be prepared. <br />. Continue meeting with City team as needed for review and discussion of draft <br />documents. Up to three additional meetings with the City team are budgeted. <br />. Prepare draft guidelines update for review by City staff. <br />. Revise and finalize draft guidelines update. <br />. It Is assumed that the Planning Commission will review the CEQA guidelines <br />update at a regularly scheduled meeting. This scope assumes that <br />Consultant will prepare and present a staff report at the Planning Commission <br />meeting, <br />. It is assumed that the City Council will adopt the new guidelines by resolution <br />at a regularly scheduled meeting. This scope assumes the City Attorney will <br />prepare the City Council resolution, with review by Consultant. Consultant <br />will prepare and present staff report at the City Council meeting. <br /> <br />TASK 3: On~Call CEQA Support to BUilding, Infrastructure and Transportation <br /> <br />From time to time, the Building, Infrastructure and Transportation (BIT) Department may <br />need general on-call CEQA consulting assistance. This assistance may be for <br />engineering projects anticipated and/or proposed by BIT, internal City research and <br />discussion on CEQA matters, or BIT staff response to development projects being <br />processed by the PlannlngJ Housing and Economic Development. This task provides for <br />up to 40 hours of Consultant's time for this type of CEQA consulting assistance, to be <br />used by BIT as it deems appropriate and necessary, and may include meetings. <br />Consultant and Planning Manager will discuss and agree on the anticipated level of <br />effort associated with each assignment under this task, to determine that adequate <br />budget exists to perform the work. <br /> <br />3. Budget <br />Consultant's hourly rate is $150/hour. Expenses (postage, production, etc.) will be billed <br />at cost. Mileage will be billed at $0.50 per mile. The anticipated budget for this <br />agreement is $27,500 as shown below.
