sites complied pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5 and,as a result,would not create a significant <br /> hazard to the public or the environment <br /> e, 1) The project is not located within an airport land use area and is located further than two miles from the <br /> nearest public or public use airport,and from the nearest private airstrip. San Francisco International <br /> Airport is located 12 miles north of the project site;Palo Alto Airport is located 6 miles southeast of the <br /> project site,and San Carlos Airport is located a little over 2 miles for the project site. The Multi- <br /> Agency Maritime Facility renovation would not create an aircraft safety hazard for people residing or <br /> working in the project area. <br /> g) The Project will occur within the open water areas along the eastern shoreline of Redwood Creek Channel. <br /> The proposed dredging activities will not interfere with evacuation plans for the Port of Redwood City,City <br /> of Redwood City,or San Mateo County.The proposed renovation of the Multi-Agency Maritime Facility is <br /> required for Port of Redwood City vessels and public agencies that include mutual aid partners such as the <br /> Redwood City Police Department,Redwood City Fire Department,San Mateo County Sheriff,United <br /> States Coast Guard,and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.The structure serves as the South Bay's <br /> primary waterside law enforcement facility for security and emergency-response operations. <br /> h) The project activity will take place over water,and as such would not result in an increased fire hazard and <br /> would not expose people or structures to a significant risk of loss, injury or death involving wildland fires. <br /> References <br /> California State Water Resources Control Board.2009.
