Water
quality in is regulated by the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board. The project
would provide for additional residences within developed areasl furnished by existing wastewater
treatment and storm water drainage and water supply distribution systems. The maximum increase in
future development that would be permitted by the proposed ordinance amendment could total up to
213 net new units over time, which is well within the development envelope for the R-2 district
established by the Cit}ls approved General Plan. Therefore, the project would not exceed wastewater
treatment requirements of the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board.

Because the code amendment does not substantially alter the potential for additional residential
development within the existing R-2 zoning districts, the project would not require or result in the
construction of new water or wastewater treatment facilities or expansion of existing facilities and would
not result in the construction of new storm water drainage facilities or expansion of existing facilities.

321

City of Redwood City, Planningl Housing and Economic Development Department
