Redwood City
will schedule additional community workshops to review the Supplemental AA report
and the stationing study when this information becomes available.

ALTERNATIVES
Modify the comment letter to HSR Authority.

FISCAL IMPACT
Staff time is required to prepare community meetings, review and analyze HSR
report(s), participate in HSR Technical Working Group meetings, and provide logistical
support for the HSR Authority's regional meetings. There is a future, potentially
enormous fiscal impact associated with additional staff costs, the cost of retaining
outside consultant services, and possible shared construction costs required of local
agencies by the HSR Authority. The Transportation Planning Program in the Gas Tax
Construction Fund has been utilized for staff time to support this project and other local
and regional transportation programs (such as County Smart Corridor Project, Caltrain
Electrification Project, Redwood City Ferry Services, Woodside Road/101 Interchange
study, Dumbarton Rail program, etc.). The Transportation Planning Program fund
balance is $187,000 as of May, 2010.

~wy

Chu Chang, PE, LEED AP
Building, Infrastructure, and Transportation
Department Director

dnn ./fL
-> im!JiL

osanne Foust
Council Member

Peter Ingra~ /

City Manager

~
ee
Council Member

~I!~

Barbara Pierce
Council Member

ATT ACHMENTS
1.
