<br />SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF THE SITE <br /> <br />I. HOURS OF WORK <br /> <br />A. Working hours shall be from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />II. PLANS <br /> <br />A. Those certain plans entitled Fair Oaks Community Center -Entry Modifications consisting of <br />two (2) sheets, are hereby made a part of this contract. <br /> <br />B. The City's Standard Specifications and Details. <br /> <br />C. California Building Code -2007 shall be made a part of this Contract <br /> <br />D. California Electrical Code -2007 shall be made a part of this Contract <br /> <br />III. TIME OF COMPLETION, INSURANCE & BONDS <br /> <br />A. Time of completion shall be sixty (60) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. <br /> <br />B. The contractor shall submit a certificate of insurance showing comprehensive workers' <br />compensation and general liability insurance coverage in the amount of $1,000,000. Such <br />certificate shall also name the City of Redwood City, its Council, Boards, Commissions, Officers, <br />Agents and employees as additional insured on the policy as shown in paragraph 7 of the <br />"Agreement". <br /> <br />C. Bonds shall be required for this project (see Standard Bond Attachments C & D). Other bond <br />forms may be used, subject to approval prior to the start of work. <br /> <br />IV. DAMAGES FOR DELAYS <br /> <br />A. Liquidated damages, for the period of time that any portion of the work remains unfinished after <br />the time fixed for completion in the Contract Documents, as modified by extensions of time <br />granted by the Owner, it is understood as agreed by the Contractor and the Owner that the <br />contractor shall pay the Owner Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($500.00) per day liquidated <br />damages. <br /> <br />V. MEASUREMENT & PAYMENT <br /> <br />1. MOBILIZATION & DEMOLITION <br /> <br />A. Full compensation for all mobilization and demobilization, and demolition measures, including <br />labor, materials, tools, and equipment required as necessary will be paid in the lump sum <br />price for MOBILIZATION AND DEMOLITION <br />B. Contractor is to protect the existing structure and landscaping to the full extent possible. Full <br />compensation for restoring damaged structures, landscaping, and other incidentals related ~o <br />the completion of the project shall be included in the lump sum price paid for this bid item. <br />C. Full compensation for all required demolition work, inclusive of area separation, dust barriers, <br />tile removal, wall! wall framing modifications, minor carpentry demolition, debris off-hauling, <br />general site cleanup and preparation for specified improvements, as shown and noted, shall <br />be included in this bid item. <br /> <br />4 <br />
