<br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br /> <br />A. Under a separate contract, the Contractor will install the pumping equipment and <br />motors in strict conformance with the pump and motor manufacturer's installation <br />instructions submitted under Paragraph 1.03 herein, and Hydraulic Institute <br />Standards. <br /> <br />3.02 FIELD SERVICE <br /> <br />A. The pump manufacturer shall provide a factory-trained and qualified field service <br />engineer to provide the following. This supervision may be divided into two or more <br />time periods as directed by the City. <br />1. Supervise the installation. <br />2. Thoroughly check and inspect the equipment after installation. <br />3. Provide initial lubrication of the equipment. <br />4. Place the equipment into operation. <br />5. Make necessary adjustments and calibrate instruments. <br />6. Conduct startup tests. <br />7. Instruct the City's operating personnel on operation and maintenance. <br /> <br />B. Certifications: Following installation supervision and inspection, the pump <br />manufacturer shall submit signed certifications for all five (5) pumps. The <br />certifications shall contain this specific wording: <br />1. liThe pump with tag number [MP-1, or MP-2, etc.] has been <br />properly installed, tested, adjusted, lubricated, and calibrated, and is ready for <br />full time operation. The installation has been inspected and has been found to <br />be in conformance with our (the manufacturer's) standards and requirements." <br />2. No amplification, dilution, or modification of this specific wording will be <br />permitted. <br /> <br />C. Provide three person days to satisfy the above field service and training <br />requirements. The cost of additional days if needed will be paid separately by the <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />3.03 FIELD TESTING <br /> <br />A. Provide assistance with the field testing of each pump. Coordinate with the <br />Construction Manager and Contractor.
