Section 3.72. Area of Multi-Sided Signs. Only one (1) side of a double-sided sign <br />shall count as sign area, provided the sign faces are parallel and have identical copy. If <br />the faces of a double- or multi-sided sign are angled from each other by forty-five (45) <br />degrees or more, the sign area of each side shall be included in the measurement of <br />the sign area. <br /> <br />Section 3.73. ~lllumination. Any sign permitted under the provisions of this Article may <br />be allowed to be illuminated provided that plans and details of the proposed illumination <br />are submitted for review and approval by the City in accordance with the provisions of <br />Division 2 ("Permits") of this Article. <br />Section 3.74. Address Si~lns Required. The address of each building shall be <br />displayed in a manner that is clearly visible from the nearest street. Each numeral shall <br />be at least four (4) inches in height and shall not exceed a height of eighteen (18) <br />inches, unless taller numerals are approved by the City in accordance with the <br />provisions of Division 2 ("Permits") of this Article. <br /> <br />Section 3.75. Fuel Price Signs Required. Any person offering gasoline or other <br />motor vehicle fuel for sale to the public shall display signs showing the prices and types <br />of fuel sold pursuant to the requirements of Division 5, Chapter 14, Article 12 of the <br />California Business and Professional Code, as amended from time to time. No person <br />shall display fuel price signs other than the minimum number and size required to <br />comply with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code. In addition to the <br />sign area otherwise permitted by this Article, businesses offering gasoline or other <br />motor vehicle fuel for sale to the public shall be permitted sign area for any required fuel <br />price signs. <br /> <br />Section 3.76. Compliance with Other Codes. Each sign shall be constructed, <br />installed and maintained in accordance with the provisions of the Redwood City <br />Municipal Code and applicable federal, State and local regulations. <br /> <br /> DIVISION 4. SPECIAL PROVISIONS - NONRESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br /> <br />Section 3.77. General Application. <br />Unless stated otherwise in this Article, each sign displayed in a nonresidential zoning <br />district other than temporary signs, real estate signs and exempt signs, shall comply <br />with the provisions of this Division. <br /> <br />Section 3.78. General Regulations. Commercial signs shall comply with the following <br />requirements: <br /> <br /> a. Sign Area. The combined area of signs on a property shall not exceed one <br /> and one half (1.5) square foot of sign area for each one (1) foot of lot <br /> frontage. On corner lots and other properties abutting more than one public <br /> right-of-way, the property line with the longest dimension shall be the lot <br /> frontage.
