b. Political signs shall not exceed thirty-two (32) square feet in area. c. Political signs may be displayed either on privately owned property or within the public right-of-way in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 3.114 of this Article. d. No political sign shall be displayed sooner than ninety (90) days prior to the election to which it pertains. Each such sign shall be removed within ten (10) days after the election. Section 3.102. Professional Occupation Signs. One (1) sign up to one (1) square foot in area identifying each firm occupying a building, provided that the sign is displayed on an exterior door. Section 3.103. Public Interest Signs. Signs displayed by a public agency for the purpose of guiding persons to emergency centers or places, buildings or locations of regional or historical significance. Such signs may be displayed off of the premises either on privately owned property or within the public right-of-way in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 3.192 of this Article. Section 3.104. Scoreboards. Scoreboards used for athletic events and located at the site where the event takes place. Section 3.105. State Lottery Signs. Signs advertising California lottery game sales, provided such signs are the minimum number and size required to comply with the provisions of the California Lottery Commission. Section 3.106. Traffic Control Devices. Traffic control signs, signals and other devices that are installed by a public agency. Section 32107. Warning Signs. One (1) warning sign per lot frontage is exempt provided the sign does not exceed three (3) square feet in area or four (4) feet in height. Section 3.108. Window Signs. Window signs that comply with the provisions of Division 4 ("Special Provisions - Nonresidential Districts") of this Article. DIVISION 8. REAL ESTATE SIGNS Section 3.'109. General Application. A property owner or his/her agent may display non-illuminated signs advertising the property for sale, lease or exchange in accordance with the provisions set forth below. Unless a building permit or electrical permit is required, real estate signs that comply with the requirements of this Division may be displayed without obtaining a permit from the City. Section 3.110.
