shall not become effective pending a decision on any appeal thereof filed in accordance <br />with the provisions of Section 3.66 ("Appeal Process") of this Article. <br /> <br /> DIVISION 12. MINOR EXCEPTIONS <br /> <br />Section 3.125, Minor Exceptions, The Zoning Administrator or his/her designee may <br />approve minor exceptions to any of the limitations specified in this Article including, but <br />not limited to, size, number, height, sign area and setback requirements. Up to ten <br />percent (10%) of any limitation specified in this Article may be waived upon making the <br />findings required for approving a variance in accordance with the provisions of Section <br />3.123 ("Required Findings") of this Article. A minor exception shall become effective on <br />the eighth (8th) calendar day following the date of the decision; however, an exception <br />shall not become effective pending a decision on any appeal thereof filed in accordance <br />with the provisions of Section 3.123 ("Appeal Process") of this Article. <br /> <br /> DIVISION 13. ILLEGAL, ABANDONED AND NONCONFORMING SIGNS <br /> <br />Section 3.t26. General Application. <br />Any illegal, abandoned or nonconforming sign shall be removed or modified to comply <br />with the requirements of this Article as set forth in this Division. <br /> <br />Section 3.127. Illeaal Sians. Any sign that does conform to the provisions of this <br />Article at the time of its installation shall promptly be abated by the property owner or <br />person responsible for installing or maintaining the sign. <br /> <br />Section 3.128. Abandoned Signs and/or Display. Any sign and/or display that <br />remains in place for a period of ninety (90) days after it no longer identifies or advertises <br />an ongoing business, product or service available on the premises; or that relates to a <br />time, event, activity or purpose which has passed shall be promptly removed by the <br />property owner or person responsible for its installation and/or maintenance. <br /> <br />Section 3.129. Inventory of Illegal and Abandoned SiRns. Within 120 days from the <br />effective date of the ordinance adding this Article to the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City, the City shall commence an identification and inventory of all displays which are <br />determined to be illegal or abandoned pursuant to the regulations that were in effect <br />prior to the effective date, and shall complete the identification and inventory in a timely <br />manner. Upon the completion of the required identification and inventory, the City shall <br />consider, at a public hearing with opportunity for public comment (the "Consideration <br />Hearing"), whether there is a need for the abatement of non-conforming on-premises <br />advertising displays to take effect. The City may impose reasonable fees upon all <br />owners or lessees of on-premises business advertising displays for the purpose of <br />covering its actual cost of inventorying and identifying illegal or abandoned advertising <br />displays which are within its jurisdiction. This section shall not apply to advertising <br />displays used exclusively for outdoor advertising pursuant to the Outdoor Advertising <br />Act (Business and Professions Code Section5200, et seq.) <br /> <br />shared/shared/Council/Ord <br />Signordl 6/7/99r <br /> 26 <br /> 2161 <br /> <br /> <br />
