12/7/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2154 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> OFFER TO PURCHASE PROPERTY; GRANT DEED; <br /> RECIPROCAL VEHICULAR PARKING AGREEMENT; <br /> RECIPROCAL ENCROACHMENT GRANT; AND LICENSE <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> (BELMONT - REDWOOD SHORES <br /> ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (the "City") and the Belmont <br />Elementary District (now known as the Belmont-Redwood Shores Elementary <br />School District; "the District") entered into an agreement entitled "Joint Use <br />Agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Belmont Elementary <br />District Regarding Joint Use of the Sandpiper Park Site," and dated as of June 9, <br />1995 (the "Agreement"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement was entered into pursuant to the provisions of <br />Government Code §6500, et seq. to provide for the joint exercise of the powers <br />of the parties to construct, install, maintain, repair, replace, and operate public <br />recreational and community service facilities and appurtenances, and for the <br />construction, installation, maintenance, repair, replacement and operation of <br />public school classroom instructional and administration facilities by the District; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement contemplates that the District will acquire from <br />the City a fee simple interest in a portion of the premises known as Parcel A, as <br />shown on that certain map entitled, "Parcel Map No. 97-5," filed with the office of <br />the County Recorders of San Mateo County, State of California, in Volume 70 of <br /> <br />Ord-051 <br />f:lsharedhedwoodlcounci[ <br />FXS:mge <br />11/12/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
