ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AND THE SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> <br /> <br />This agreement is made as of this 8th day of January, 2003 and between the <br />City of Redwood City (contractor) and the Sequoia Union High School District <br />(SUHSD). <br /> <br />Now, therefore the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Services <br /> <br />The Contractor agrees to provide a School Resource Officer four days per week for a total <br />of forty hours per week for nine months at Sequoia High School in accordance with the <br />terms and conditions of this agreement. <br /> <br />2. Scope of Services <br /> <br />The Contractor agrees to provide a School Resource Officer for four days per week at <br />Sequoia High School to assist the school community as needed. <br /> <br />3. Use of Subcontractors <br /> <br />The Contractor shall not assign this agreement or any portion thereof to a third party <br />without the prior written consent of the School District. <br /> <br />4. Insurance <br /> <br />The Contractor understands the SUHSD does not provide liability, malpractice, or <br />workers compensation insurance for the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for the <br />maintenance of personal and professional insurance to provide protection for any claims <br />arising out of service under this agreement. <br /> <br />5. Equal Employment Opportunity <br /> <br />In connection with the performance of this Agreement, the Contractor shall not <br />discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, religion, <br />color, sex, physical or mental disability, age, sexual orientation, or national origin. The <br />contractor shall comply with section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which <br />provides that no otherwise qualified handicapped individual shall, solely by reason of a <br />handicap, be excluded from participation, or be denied the performance of this agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />
