<br />(C(Q)fPl1 <br /> <br />finds that the FEIR fully describes all the alternatives to the Project evaluated in the FEIR <br /> <br />and that such alternatives are not reasonable or feasible, (3) Port hereby finds that the <br /> <br />FEIR adequately describes all mitigation measures which are reasonably required to <br /> <br />mitigate the impacts of the Project described in the FEIR and that, to the extent within the <br /> <br />control of Port, Port intends to carry out or cause to be carried out such mitigation <br /> <br />measures, (4) Port hereby finds that the FEIR correctly identifies two significant <br /> <br />unavoidable impacts of the Project described therein that cannot be feasibly mitigated by <br /> <br />the Port and, moreover, that such mitigation is not within the control of Port, and (5) Port <br /> <br />hereby finds that there are overriding social, economic, and physical considerations <br /> <br />justifying approval of the Project described in the FEIR. <br /> <br />This Board hereby finds that the following economic, legal, social, technological, <br /> <br />or other benefits of the Project outweigh the foregoing significant effects on the <br /> <br />environment for which mitigation measures or alternatives identified in the FEIR are <br /> <br />infeasible or, if available, will not eliminate or reduce such impacts to a level of <br /> <br />insignificance. <br /> <br />(a) The Project will provide necessary economIC development and related <br /> <br />employment opportunities. <br /> <br />(b) The Project will fulfill the Port's need for new facilities to accommodate the <br /> <br />steady growth in cargo throughput that the Port has experienced over the past 10 years. <br /> <br />(c) The economic benefits of the Project include more appropriate us of usable <br /> <br />properties for the Port of Redwood City. <br /> <br />Reso- 169; 4:59:50 PM <br />:\shared\Port\Reso <br />FXS <br />07/28/2010 <br /> <br />6 <br />
