The proposed proiect consists of a proposed unbuilt bike route extending through multiple jurisdictions: it extends from Redwood City to San Carlos and continues into Belmont. The proj ect on the southern end will connect with the existing Bay Trail bike path at the end of Skyway Roact adjacent to Highway 101.. From Skyway Road the route turns left onto Airport Road and passes through the intersection of Redwood Shores Parkway and Airport Way/Shorewav Rd. Continuing north on Shoreway the route extends into the Belmont portion of Shorewav. The project is approximately 1.6 miles of new bike route. In addition to the safety improvements that the bike route will provide. this proiect provides recreational access through the San Francisco Bay Trail connection and provides public access to bike trails in Redwood Shores.
