MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL <br /> <br />How does the project demonstrate regional significance? <br /> <br />The proposed proiect consists of a proposed unbuilt bike route extending through <br />multiple jurisdictions: it extends from Redwood City to San Carlos and continues into <br />Belmont. The proj ect on the southern end will connect with the existing Bay Trail bike <br />path at the end of Skyway Roact adjacent to Highway 101.. From Skyway Road the route <br />turns left onto Airport Road and passes through the intersection of Redwood Shores <br />Parkway and Airport Way/Shorewav Rd. Continuing north on Shoreway the route <br />extends into the Belmont portion of Shorewav. The project is approximately 1.6 miles of <br />new bike route. <br /> <br />In addition to the safety improvements that the bike route will provide. this proiect <br />provides recreational access through the San Francisco Bay Trail connection and <br />provides public access to bike trails in Redwood Shores.
