PURPOSE <br /> <br />This is a proposal to provide the full range of professional surveying and <br />engineering services for "BASE MAP SERVICES FOR WATER LINE REPLACEMENT WITHIN <br />THE REDWOOD CITY SERVICE AREA". <br /> <br />I~ODUCTION <br /> <br />RENNER SURVEYING & ENGINEERING is a full service professional surveying and <br />engineering firm. We offer a full range of planning, engineering, design, <br />construction staking and inspection services to our public and private clients. <br />In the performance of our work, other subcontractors with soil, geotechnical, <br />architecture, landscape architecture, and other specialized professional <br />services may be employed on a case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />~COPE OF WORK <br /> <br />The City's need for a consultant to perform topographic surveying/ engineering <br />base map services for the project is based upon the following criteria: <br /> <br /> t. Plans shall be completed with AutoCAD 2000, on a plan/profile template <br /> with the Redwood City title block at a scale of 1"=20'. A disk <br /> containing the template will be provided. <br /> <br /> 2. Topographic survey shall include all physical features within the <br /> project area including manholes, valve boxes, blow-offs, monuments, <br /> utility covers, water meters, hydrants, poles, drain inlets, inverts, <br /> cleanouts, trees, driveways, fences, signs, etc. <br /> <br /> 3. The cross sections will be surveyed on 100' stations on tangent and 25' <br /> stations on curves. (Center, gutter flows, top of curb, edge of <br /> pavement, back of walks, ROW (approximate)). <br /> <br /> 4. Base map shall include all property line boundaries (approximate from <br /> City Block Book}; right-of-way lines (approximate form City Block <br /> Book); match lines; lot address; street centerlines; all existing <br /> utility lines; existing water and gas services; sewer laterals, and <br /> invert elevations at all structures {including storm drain inlet/pipe <br /> inverts, sewer manhole inverts and top of water valves' nuts.) <br /> <br /> 5. Base map (topographic survey) shall extend 50 feet passed street <br /> intersections in all directions. <br /> <br /> <br />
