F . W . D . R/W TO <br />QUARTZ STREET, AND JEFFERSON BRANCH CHANNEL IMPROVE- <br />MENTS, CROMPTON ROAD TO VERA AVENUE, PROJECT NO. SD-20, <br />GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 1-65; REJECTING ALL OTHER <br />BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6319, adopted June 15, <br /> <br />1970, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />Emerald Branch Channel Improvements, S.F. W. D. R/W to Quartz <br /> <br />Street, and Jefferson Branch Channel Improvements, Crompton Road <br /> <br />to Vera Avenue, in General Improvement District 1-65 in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, under Project SD-20 of said improvement district; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, POWER-ANDERSON, INC., Mountain View, california, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention of this <br /> <br />Council to award said bid to said Power-Anderson, Inc., t? waive <br /> <br />any informality in the bid of the above mentioned low bidder, <br /> <br />and to reject any and all other bids received for said work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Power-Anderson, Inc., in the total amount <br /> <br />of Three Hundred Seventy-eight Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-seven <br /> <br />Dollars ($378,287.00), more or less, computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated July 8, 1970, for the construction of <br /> <br />Emerald Brancb ~.Chgnnel 'Improvements, .'.1S;.F .W'~D ~'R/W _ t.o.Quartz ....,.,.'. <br /> <br />Street, and Jefferson Branch Channel Improvements, Crompton Road <br /> <br />to Vera Avenue, in General Improvement District 1-65 in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, under Project SD-20 of said improvement district, <br />
