<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:3/19/70 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />~ 23 ']0 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />NO. ~-2~5 <br /> <br />',RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE REAL PROPERTY IN <br />CONNECTION WITH PROPOSED PURCHASE OF WATER SYSTEM; <br />AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE <br />OF INTENTION OF SAID ACQUISITION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council a proposed <br /> <br />agreement for the purchase of the Friendly Acres Water System <br /> <br />by the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to approve <br /> <br />said agreement and authorize its execution for and on behalf <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City subsequent to publication of the <br /> <br />notice hereinafter in paragraph number 4 mentioned; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said agreement provides, among other matters, for <br /> <br />the acquisition by the City of Redwood City of all easements, <br /> <br />rights of way, water rights, both surface and subsurface, and <br /> <br />similar rights and privileges owned by the sellers of said Water <br /> <br />system, and said agreement contemplates the execution of documents <br /> <br />conveying or quitclaiming to the City of Redwood City all right, <br /> <br />title and interest in and to such real property interests and <br /> <br />other interests; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed purchase price of said Water System, <br /> <br />including the aforesaid real property interests, exceeds the <br /> <br />sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, evidence has been presented to this Council that <br /> <br />the acquisition of said Water System, including acquisition of <br /> <br />the aforesaid real property interests, is in the best public <br /> <br />interest, and that it is necessary and desirable to acquire said <br /> <br />real property interests for the operation of said Water System, <br /> <br />and other municipal purposes; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />
