<br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />date of this section, following the termination of the <br />probationary period, such employee shall be credited with <br />an initial allowance in the sum of $l25. In the event a <br />non-uniformed permanent employee, because of change of rule <br />or otherwise, is required to maintain a uniform, he shall <br />be credited with the initial allowance in the sum of $l25 <br />upon being required to maintain a uniform. <br />"Every employee, except employees of the Police Department <br />hereinafter designated, required to maintain a uniform shall <br />be credited with an annual uniform allowance of $lOO. Employees <br />of the Police Department required to maintain a uniform and <br />actively engaged in law enforcement duties (excluding telephone <br />operators, clerks, stenographers, machinists, mechanics, or <br />other persons whose functions do not clearly fall within the <br />scope of active law enforcement ,service) and who have been <br />so actively engaged for one year or more with the city of <br />Redwood City shall be credited with an annual uniform <br />allowance of $l50. The said annual allowance shall be <br />credited as of the first day of July of each year for the <br />preceding l2 month period or pro rata portion thereof during <br />which the employee was required to maintain a uniform. For <br />purposes of, computing the annual uniform allowance, that <br />portion of the probationary period falling within said <br />preceding 12 month period shall be included." <br />2. Section 6 is hereby added to Rule VI of the Personnel <br />Rules and Regulations of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br />II section 6. Health Insurance Premiums: Premiums for <br />any group health insurance policy which is or may be <br />contracted for by the City and which covers employees of <br />the City shall be paid by the City as follows: <br /> <br />-2- <br />
