Receive an informational briefing on the proposed Saltworks Project, no action ' � required. 2. Approve the following amendments to professional services agreements for the purpose of continuing the environmental review process associated with the proposed Saltworks Project: a. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 3 to the professional services agreement with Data Instincts for the review of the Saltworks development proposal in an amount not to exceed $180,000.00. b. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 4 to the professional services agreement with Hart Howerton for the review of the Saltworks development proposal in an amount not to exceed $868,274.00. c. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with Hauge Brueck Associates (HBA) for environmental consulting services related to the Saltworks development proposal in an amount not to exceed $1,439,34�.00. i. Authorize the City Manager to modify the scope of the professional service agreement with Hauge Brueck Associates if necessary, including the addition or elimina#ion of sub-consultants and their relative scopes of work. ii. Authorize the City Manager to increase the Hauge Brueck Associates contract amount by an additional 25% or up to $425,000.00 if necessary and in relationship to the need to prepare additional technical studies and/or for the hiring of additionaf sub-consultants. BACKGROUND Informational Briefing On August 17, 2010, City staff introduced the proposed Salfinrorks project to the Planning Commission and provided an overview of the project along with a brief description of the City's application review process to date. Following the introduction, the City's environmental consultant, Hauge Brueck Associates, presented the details associated with the next steps in the environmental review process, which included describing the key elements of the public information and outreach process, and describing the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) steps identified specifically for the proposed Saltworks project.
