Receive an informational briefing on the proposed Saltworks Project, no action ' <br />� required. <br /> 2. Approve the following amendments to professional services agreements for the <br /> purpose of continuing the environmental review process associated with the <br /> proposed Saltworks Project: <br /> a. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 3 to the professional services agreement <br /> with Data Instincts for the review of the Saltworks development proposal in an <br /> amount not to exceed $180,000.00. <br /> b. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 4 to the professional services agreement <br /> with Hart Howerton for the review of the Saltworks development proposal in an <br /> amount not to exceed $868,274.00. <br /> c. Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement <br /> with Hauge Brueck Associates (HBA) for environmental consulting services <br /> related to the Saltworks development proposal in an amount not to exceed <br /> $1,439,34�.00. <br /> i. Authorize the City Manager to modify the scope of the professional service <br /> agreement with Hauge Brueck Associates if necessary, including the <br /> addition or elimina#ion of sub-consultants and their relative scopes of <br /> work. <br /> ii. Authorize the City Manager to increase the Hauge Brueck Associates <br /> contract amount by an additional 25% or up to $425,000.00 if necessary <br /> and in relationship to the need to prepare additional technical studies <br /> and/or for the hiring of additionaf sub-consultants. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Informational Briefing <br /> On August 17, 2010, City staff introduced the proposed Salfinrorks project to the <br /> Planning Commission and provided an overview of the project along with a brief <br /> description of the City's application review process to date. Following the introduction, <br /> the City's environmental consultant, Hauge Brueck Associates, presented the details <br /> associated with the next steps in the environmental review process, which included <br /> describing the key elements of the public information and outreach process, and <br /> describing the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) steps identified specifically <br /> for the proposed Saltworks project. <br />
