This permit shall be deemed automatically revoked in the event that the said improvements or 50 per cent or more of the said improvements are destroyed or remove,d by Permittee, unless a waiver of this paragraph is obtained from the Director of Public Works. 9. Permittee shall be responsible and liable for all damages to persons or property, including the injury or death of persons, due directly or indirectly to permittee's construction and/or maintena~ce of the said improvements, and the use permitted here- under, and shall promptly pay any just claim therefor and shall hold the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions, councilmen, agents and employees, harmless from all suits, actions, damages, or claims to which said City may be sub- jected by reason of said construction and/or maintenance of said improvements or encroachment or use thereof permitted hereunder. 10. Permittee shall secure, carry and maintain at all times during the period covered by this revocable permit, at Permittee's sole~cost and expense, public liability and property damage insurance, which insurance shall be in the following minimum amounts: (a) $300,000 for injury or death of anyone person and $500,000 for anyone occurrence. (b) Property damage insurance in the amount of $100,000. A certificate or certificates evidencing the maintenance of the required insurance shall be deposited with the City Clerk prior to any use or construction on City's property by Permittee. Each certificate shall bear the following endorsements: (l) Endorsement precluding cancellation or reduction in coverage before the expiration of ten days after City shall have received notification thereof from the insurance carrier. . (2) Endorsement naming the city of Redwood city, the councilmen, and all officers, agents, and employees thereof, as additional insureds. (3) Standard cross liability endorsement. -3-
