I\.j...,.. ..,1 1 . - .~ ..... 0.., "'4~ RES 0 L UTI 0 N ---------- NO.~ RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF EL CAMINO REAL - JEFFERSON AVENUE WIDENING, CHANNELIZATION AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFI~TION IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6065, hhe City Clerk called for bids for the construction of El Camino Real - Jefferson Avenue Widening, Channelization and Traffic Signal Modification; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed with the City Clerk for the performance of said work; and WHEREAS, STEINY AND MITCHEL, INC., San Francisco, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said Steiny and Mitchel, Inc., and to waive any informality in the bid of the above mentioned low bidder, and to reject any and all other bids received for said work; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Steiny and Mitchel, Inc., in the total amount of ~igbty~eight Thousand six Hundred Eighty-five and No/lOO Dollars ($88,685.00), more or less, computed in accordance with bidder's accepted proposal dated November 19, 1969, for the construction of El Camino Real - Jefferson Avenue Widening, Channelization and 'Traffic Signal Modification, in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work.
