<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />JHT:yc:lO/24/69 <br /> <br />ORIGlr~AL <br /> <br />OCT 27 "&3 <br /> <br />R E .2. 0 L U T 1. 0 N N O. <br /> <br />h 1../ 3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE <br />VETERANS BOULEVARD INTERCEPTING SEWER IMPROVEMENTS; <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6115, adopted September 22, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />certain improvements, being the Veterans Boulevard Intercepting <br /> <br />Sewer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, GALBRAITH CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., Hayward, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Galbraith Construction Co., Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Galbraith Construction Co., Inc., in the <br /> <br />total amount of One Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Four Hundred <br /> <br />and 20/100 Dollars ($123,400.20), more or less, computed in <br /> <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated October 21, 1969, for <br /> <br />the construction of certain improvements, being the Veterans <br /> <br />Boulevard Intercepting Sewer, in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />according to plans and specifications therefor, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The city Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br />
