I.I~ <br /> <br />OCT 13 '69 <br /> <br />'\ <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />PRELIMINARILY DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST <br />REQUIRES THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY <br />DISTRICT IN A PORTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br />CERTAIN ADJACENT PORTIONS OF UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF <br />THE COUNTY OF SA,N MATEO; DESIGNATING SAID DISTRICT AS <br />UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 69-li DESCRIBING THE <br />BOUNDARIES OF SAID DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR EXCEPTIONS <br />TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF SAID DISTRICT; AND STATING THE <br />TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS BY PERSONS <br />INTERESTED IN THE FORMATION OF THE DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS~ Article 4 of Chapter II of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City provides for the establishment of underground utility <br /> <br />districtsi and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, facts have been.presented to this Council, and <br /> <br />recommendations made, justifying the establishment of the herein- <br /> <br />after described underground utility district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the facts, recommendations <br /> <br />and proposal, and has preliminarily determined that the public <br /> <br />interest, necessity and convenience require the establishment <br /> <br />of said underground utility district; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE i <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. It is hereby preliminarily found and determined that <br /> <br />the public interest, convenience ,and necessity require the <br /> <br />establishment of the hereinafter described u~derground utility <br /> <br />districti and it is hereby further preliminarily found and <br /> <br />determined that each and.all of the following specific matters <br /> <br />in furtherance of the general pub'lic interest exist with relation <br /> <br />to the proposed underground utility district: <br /> <br />(a) The undergrounding to be accomplished will avoid or <br />eliminate an unusually heavy concentration of. overhead <br />distribution facilities; <br /> <br />(b) The streets, roads or rights of way in the district <br />
