ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />Rudy Luca stated that he is still awaiting a letter from the City Manager regarding <br />questions asked on January 27, 2003 related to the Retail /Cinema project. The issue <br />pertained to the Council aiming to protect Redevelopment funds from Sacramento. <br />The loss of Redevelopment funds would end many fledging housing projects on the <br />Peninsula and stop mortgage assistance programs for first time homebuyers and <br />teachers. It would also place a damper on the county -wide housing trust effort. He <br />asked that Council Member Hartnett respond to the appropriation of $20 million to the <br />developer of the Retail /Cinema and preventing the State and the Governor from <br />DRAFT - <br />NOT FOR CITATION <br />
