Payment of the assessments on said parcels shall be paid for in' cash by the City of Redwood City in accordance with the provisions of Section 5302.5 of the Improvement Act of 1911 as contained in the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. All streets and all other public property in use in the performance of a public function, other than said Assessment Parcels 1, 2, 3A, 4 and 5A, are hereby specifically excluded from assessments to be levied within said district for said work. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in many instances the grades of the finished work will or may be substantially different from the existing gr~des. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and said Council of said City does determine that serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments of $50.00 or over, bearing interest at the rate of seven percent (7%) per annum, will be issued pursuant to the provisions of the Improve- ment Act of 1911 as embodied in Division 7, Part 5, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, as amended, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 1st day of the next September following their date. Said bonds will be payable to bearer and will contain a provision for a five percent (5%) prepay- m ent premium on redemption. Reference is hereby made to the resolution of said Council determining to make such improvements without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Resolution No. on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in the Improvement Act of 1911, as amended.
