DES:yc:5/22/69 ORIGINAt JurI 9 '69 RES 0 L UTI 0 N NO. .6 00 6 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INrrENTION rro, INITIArrE, PURSUANT TO PETI'rrON, PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORYi DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "EDGEHOOD ROAD ANNEXATION NO.2" i MJ.\KING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING Sl'~ID PP..OCEEDINGS; AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND PlACE Sl-~ID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANNEX1\TION BE 1'r RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' REDWOOD crry: l'lHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed wi th t.he Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo, California, a written description of a proposal to annex to the City of Redwood City all that territory wl1ich is hereinafter describedj and WHEREAS, said Council has received evidence showing that, and finds ~1at, said Local Agency Formation Commission has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report to said Council upon said annexation proposal, all as required by law, and that said Commission has approved said proposed annexation: and ~lHEREAS I this Council further has received evidence showing and finds: (1) rrhat said territory is situate inunediately adjacent to and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of Redwood CitYi and (2) That less than 12 registered voters presently reside within said territory and that said territory is therefore uninhabitedi and (3) That, the petition proposlng said annexation has been signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed by "area.'and by assessed' value as'shOVln on the last equalized assessment roIl of the County of San Hateo.
