DES :em:6/S/69 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />JUN 9 '00 <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L U T .! 0 N N O. <br /> <br />600)", <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />MIDDLEFIELD ROAD WIDENING - CHESTNUT STREET TO <br />MAPLE STREET - IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: RE- <br />JECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED: AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK: AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5986, adopted May 12, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />Middlefield Road Widening Improvements, Chestnut Street to <br /> <br />Maple Street: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the performance of said work: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, FISK, FIRENZE & MC LEAN, INC., San Carlos, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to <br /> <br />said FISK, FIRENZE & MC LEAN, INC., to waive any informality in <br /> <br />the bid of the above mentioned low bidder, and to reject any <br /> <br />and all other bids received for said work: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE ; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of FISK, FIRENZE & MC LEAN, INC., in the <br /> <br />total amount of One Hundred Six Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy- <br /> <br />Five and 80/100 Dollars ( $106,875.80) more or less, computed in <br /> <br />accordance with bidder's accepted proposal dated June 4, 1969, <br /> <br />for the construction of said Middlefield Road Widening Improvements, <br /> <br />Chestnut Street to Maple Street, in accordance with the plans and <br /> <br />specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br /> <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />
