DES :em:6/S/69 ORIGINAL JUN 9 '00 R E ~ 0 L U T .! 0 N N O. 600)", RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MIDDLEFIELD ROAD WIDENING - CHESTNUT STREET TO MAPLE STREET - IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: RE- JECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED: AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK: AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5986, adopted May 12, 1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of Middlefield Road Widening Improvements, Chestnut Street to Maple Street: and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed with the City Clerk for the performance of said work: and WHEREAS, FISK, FIRENZE & MC LEAN, INC., San Carlos, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said FISK, FIRENZE & MC LEAN, INC., to waive any informality in the bid of the above mentioned low bidder, and to reject any and all other bids received for said work: NOW, THEREFORE ; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of FISK, FIRENZE & MC LEAN, INC., in the total amount of One Hundred Six Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy- Five and 80/100 Dollars ( $106,875.80) more or less, computed in accordance with bidder's accepted proposal dated June 4, 1969, for the construction of said Middlefield Road Widening Improvements, Chestnut Street to Maple Street, in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work.
