S9..J.7 <br /> <br />APn 'I' . <br />rtl <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVE- <br />MENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64, DOLPHIN SUBDIVISION NO.1; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; <br />AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5915, the City Clerk <br /> <br />called for bids for the construction of certain public improvements, <br /> <br />including streets, water system facilities, sanitary sewers, and <br /> <br />storm drainage facilities for Redwood City General Improvement <br /> <br />District No. 1-64, Dolphin subdivision No.1; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HOOD CORPORATION, San Jose, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said contract to Hood Corporation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Hood Corporation, in the total amount of <br /> <br />Five Hundred and Eleven Thousand Six Hundred and Nineteen and <br /> <br />70/100 Dollars ($511,619.70), more or less, computed at the unit <br /> <br />prices quoted in bidder's proposal, opened April 2, 1969, for <br /> <br />the construction of certain public improvements, including streets, <br /> <br />water system facilities, sanitary sewers, and storm drainage <br /> <br />facilities, for Dolphin Subdivision No. 1 of Redwood City General <br /> <br />Improvement District No. 1-64, in accordance with the plans and <br /> <br />specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br />
