S9()~ <br /> <br />fEB 17 "69 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS, SOUTHWEST AREA, GENERAL <br />IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 1-65, PROJECT SD-27: REJECTING <br />ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED: AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK: AND DIREcrING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5874, adopted January 13, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />storm water drainage improvements generally located in the <br /> <br />southwest area of General Improvement District 1-65 in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, under Project SD-27 of said improvement district: <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the performance of said work: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ERNEST E. PESTANA, INC., San Jose, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention of this <br /> <br />Council to award said bid to said Ernest E. Pestana, Inc., to <br /> <br />waive any informality in the bid of the above mentioned low <br /> <br />bidder, and to reject any and all other bids received for said <br /> <br />work: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Ernest E. Pestana, Inc., in the total amount <br /> <br />of Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-three and 50/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($420,963.50), more or less, computed in accordance with <br />bidder's proposal dated February 11, 1969, for the construction <br /> <br />of storm water drainage improvements located generally in the <br /> <br />southwest area of General Improvement District 1-65 in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City (Project SD-27), in accordance with the plans <br /> <br />and specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br />
