RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION 'AN 20 ~ BEL AIR WAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, that it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public con- venience and necessity require, and that it intends to order the following work to be done and improvements made in and for said City, to-wit: The improvement of Bel Air Way, from the existing street improvements thereon to the northerly terminus of Bel Air Way, by constructing and installing therein all of the improvements described in EXHIBIT "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the places and in the manner, and to the lines, grades, and eleva- tions, as shown upon the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor and on file in the office of the City Engineer of Redwood City. Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said City Council, are of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and said Council does hereby make the cost and expenses of doing such work and improvement chargeable upon a District, which District said City Council declares to be the District benefited by said work and improvements and to be assessed to pay the entire cost and expenses thereof, and which Assessment District is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City, State of California, and is described in EXHIBIT "B" attached hereto and made a part hereof. There is excepted from said District all streets and all other public property in use in the performance of a public function. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent the un- paid assessments of $50.00 or more, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum, will be issued pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 as embodied in the Streets and High- ways Code of the State of California, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 1st day of September following their date. Said bonds shal~ be payable to bearer and shall contain a provision for five per cent (5%) prepayment premium on redemption. Notice is hereby given that Monday, February 10, 1969, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may appear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find and determine that the public convenience and necessity re- quire the improvements described in and referred to in this resolu- tion, without further compliance with the Special Assessment, Inves- tigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 of the State of California and now embodied in the Streets and Highways Code of Calif- ornia as Division 4 thereof. * * * * * * *
