<br />,. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES.ek 12/10/68 <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />I <br />..- <br /> <br />oalGINAl <br /> <br />RE~OLUT.!ON <br /> <br />N O. sfS:J- <br /> <br />Dfe It) ." <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />MUNICIPAL MARINA FISHING PIER; REJECTING ALL OTHER <br />BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND, DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5782, adopted November 4, <br /> <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of a <br /> <br />fishing pier at the Municipal Marina in the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, JAMES MARSH COMPANY, San Carlos, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to said James Marsh Company, <br /> <br />to waive any informality in the bid of the above mentioned low <br /> <br />bidder, and to reject any and all other bids received for said <br /> <br />work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of JAMES MARSH COMPANY in the total amount of <br /> <br />Seventeen Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($17,300.00), more or less, <br /> <br />computed in accordance with the unit prices set forth in bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated December 4, 1968, for the construction of said <br /> <br />fishing pier at the MuniCipal Marina in accordance with the plans <br /> <br />and specifications therefor, is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />said work. <br /> <br />For the purpose of determining additional compensation for <br /> <br />the furnishing and driving of piles to greater than the estimated <br /> <br />35-foot depth, the unit price of five and la/lOa dollars ($5.10) <br /> <br />per lineal foot, in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br />
