P-1352 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND <br /> NECESSITY REQUIRE THE IMMEDIATE PERFORMANCE OF <br /> EMERGENCY PUBLIC WORK OR SERVICE; SUSPENDING <br /> REQUIREMENT FOR ADVERTISING FOR BIDS FOR REPAIR OF <br /> WAREHOUSE NO. 1 ROOF, AND ACCEPTING BID FOR SAID <br /> REPAIRS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the roof of Warehouse No. 1 at the Port of Redwood <br />City has deteriorated without prior warning to the extent that <br />the quiet %njoyment by the Port's tenants of said premises has <br />been, and will be, disturbed by impending rainfall; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to effect immediate rehabilitation <br />and repairs to, said roof in order to prevent loss of Port <br />revenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Port Executive Director ha-s solicited not less <br /> <br />than three informal written bids for such repair work; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Board hereby finds and declares, pursuant to the <br />provisions of Section 49a of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, that emergency rehabilitation or repair of operative <br />facilities of the Port of Redwood City, to wit: the roof of <br />Warehouse No. 1, is nec.essary to prevent loss of Port revenue <br />which otherwise would occur by reason of the deteriorated <br /> <br />condition of said roof and the impending wet weather season; and <br /> <br /> <br />
