<br />6.1C <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR <br />LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of the day of <br />, 201_, by and between the SOUTH BAYSIDE SYSTEM <br />AUTHORITY, a public entity ("Authorityll) and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter <br />city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"). <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />A. Authority is a public entity established by Joint Exercise of Powers <br />Agreement entered into by and among the Cities of Belmont, San Carlos, and Redwood <br />City, and the West Bay Sanitary District pursuant to the provisions of Government Code <br />section 6500 et seq., for the purpose of operating, maintaining and owning sanitary <br />sewerage transmission, pumping, treatment and disposal facilities for the sewerage <br />service areas of the aforesaid member agencies. <br /> <br />B. City, in performance of its municipal functions, provides landscape <br />maintenance services. <br /> <br />C. Authority requires landscape maintenance services for its property. <br /> <br />D. City has affirmed its willingness and ability to provide such services in <br />accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below. <br /> <br />E. This agreement is intended to replace and supersede any and all previous <br />agreements between the City and Authority with respect to Landscape Maintenance <br />Services. Any such agreement is hereby expressly superseded by the following. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Scope of Work. Authority retains City to perform, and City agrees to render, the <br />landscape maintenance services (the "Services") that are defined in attached Exhibit <br />"A," which is incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />2. Compensation. Authority shall compensate City for services rendered in an <br />amount equal to one-half (1/2) the annual salary (Full-Time Equivalent or FTE), <br />including the value of fringe benefits, for the position of Landscape Maintenance <br />Worker, as that position is classified and described in City's competitive service or merit <br />personnel system. The amount of said salary shall be determined by reference to City's <br />salary resolution and the Memorandum of Understanding by and between City and the <br />recognized employee representation organization for that position.
