<br />" <br />. . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.::.. <br /> <br />FRE~~AY ~~INTENANCE AGREE~~NT <br /> <br />THIS AGREEt~NT, made and entered into, in duplicate, this <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />-.----, <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />, by and between the State <br /> <br />of California, acting by and throueh the Department of Public <br /> <br /> <br />Works, Division of Highways, hereinafter for convenience referred <br /> <br /> <br />to as "the State", and the City of Redwooa City, hereinafter for <br /> <br /> <br />convenience referred to as "the City", witnesseth: <br /> <br /> <br />W~EREAS, on November 25, 1958, a Freeway Agreement was <br /> <br /> <br />executed between the State and the City wherein the City <br /> <br />consE:nted to certain adjustments of the City streets system required <br />for the oevelopment of that portion of State Highway Route 68 within <br />the City between the north city limits and the east city limits as <br />a freeway, and <br />WHEREAS, the work described under said Freeway Agreement dated <br />November 25, 1958, is now completed, and <br />WHEREAS, under Section 3 of said Freeway Agreement dated <br />November 25, 1958, the City will resume control and maintenance <br />over each of the relocated or reconstructed City streets, <br />except on those portions thereof adopted as a part of the freeway <br /> <br />proper, and accept control and maintenance over each of the <br /> <br />frontage roads. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed: <br /> <br /> <br />1. Except as hereinafter provided the City will maintain, at <br /> <br /> <br />City's expense, all portions of City streets and frontage roads <br /> <br /> <br />and other local roads constr~ctei by the State and appurtenant <br /> <br /> <br />structures and bordering areas colored in yellow and purple on the <br /> <br /> <br />attached map marked. Exhibit "An between the north city limits and <br /> <br /> <br />the east city limits and made a part hereof by this reference. The <br /> <br /> <br />City also agrees to accept title to the portions of :;uch roads lying <br /> <br /> <br />outside the freeway limits upon relinquishment thereof' by the State. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br /> <br />at State's expense, all portions of the freeway and those portions <br /> <br />EXHIBIT "AU <br />
