Hope House provides a 180-day recovery <br /> program for women who are released from the San Mateo County Women's <br /> Correctional Program and who have a desire to resolve their alcohol and/or drug <br /> addictions before retuming to the community. As women graduate, they return <br /> to the community and are supported in their successful recovery through an <br /> alumni group. Funding Requested: $10,000. Fund�ng Recommended: $5,000. <br /> Teen Talk Sexualitv Education �formerlv known as Teen Preqnancv <br /> Coalition . Teen Talk Sexuality Education (TTSE} provides comprehensive <br /> educational programs for youth and adults to help teens make hea[thy choices <br /> that will result in lower rates of teen pregnancy and STD/HIV in the community. <br /> Funding Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: $7,500. <br /> The Salvation Armv - Emerqencv Assistance Proc�ram. The Salvation Army <br /> Emergency Assistance Program provides bi-monthly food boxes, motel <br /> vouchers, clothing vouchers, necessity assistance, information and referral, and <br /> PG&E assistance to senior citizens, youth, disabled, homeless, young adults, <br /> and families. Funding Requested: $25,000. Funding Recommended: $�5,00�. <br /> YFES Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Center. The Crisis <br /> Intervention and Suicide Prevention Center is the only 24-hour suicide and crisis <br /> hotline in San Mateo County. In addition, YFA offers a 24-hour alcohol and drug <br /> help line, parent support line, and has a Crisis Center Youth Intervention Team � <br /> providing prevention education and responding as on-call counselors to San I <br /> Mateo County schools for youth with suicidal behaviors and other crisis <br /> situations. Additionally, YFES has a website and chat room where youth can <br /> anonymously log on and chat online via "live chat" sessions with trained and <br /> supervised volunteer peer mentors. Funding Requested: $10,000. Funding <br /> Recommended: $8,000. <br /> 3 <br />
