During this contract, the following repairs were completed: <br />• 88 cost shared sidewalk repairs <br />10 wheel chair ramps <br />• 47 trees root pruned <br />• 2 trees removed <br />9 new tree grates <br />• 61 utility repair locations. <br />The contractor requested to be released from the remainder of the change order work. At <br />the time of the request, staff did not have any pending co -paid cost shared repair locations <br />waiting for work, and the original contract had been fulfilled. <br />Sposeto Engineering has completed the work to City specifications and staff recommends <br />accepting the improvements. There is a one -year guarantee on the concrete <br />improvements written into the contract agreement. <br />Altemative <br />The only alternative would be not to accept the project and not release the retention. Staff <br />believes that all known requests for punch list items have been corrected. The work <br />should be accepted. The contractor is due his retention for this project. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />Adequate funds are available and have been encumbered in the Capital Improvement <br />Program (CIP), Tree Preservation and Sidewalk Repair funding to cover the release of <br />retention.
