Implementation of this program may result in additional supplements to the City's potable water supply. Program BE-22 requires the City to track new residential units and non- residential square footage and limit new development based on available water resources.Mitigation Measure 4.11.1 modifies Program BE-22 to limit development based on available water resources,taking into account demands of existing and planned uses, including agricultural and industrial uses. Page 4.15-25,first paragraph under the heading"Conclusion Regarding Water Supply Sufficiency for New General Plan"has been revised as follows: The proposed New General Plan policies and programs described above,partnered with the future responsibility of the City to re-evaluate its water demand projections on an ongoing basis and to conduct environmental review and water supply evaluations for future development under the New General Plan pursuant to CEQA, SB 610 (Water Code sections 1O91o, et seq.) and SB 221(Government Code section 66473.7),would ensure that the City has adequate water supplies to serve its anticipated demands and does not approve developments for which water supply is not available. However,none of the above factors, er policies or programs would guarantee that the City's future water supplies would be sufficient to fully serve the level of development the City projected under the New General Plan could be fully served by the City's anticipated Supply Assurance from the SFPUC.-f development occurs as projected,the City's water demands could outpace available supplies by 2010.This would Therefore,the City considers the uncertainty associated with relying on its existing and anticipated future water supplies to meet the demands of existing and projected development under the New General Plan to be a significant unavoidable environmental impact under criteria(d). Beyond the above factors,programs,and policies that address the impact,no other mitigation is feasible.
