6.2A <br /> In addition, FEMA determined that levees maintained by the County of San Mate& l2 <br /> the City of San Carlos are part of the flood protection system of the Redwood Shores <br /> peninsula and would need to be improved and certified. The City is the lead agency <br /> undertaking the San Carlos Airport Levee Project, under a separate construction <br /> contract, to improve the levees bordering the San Carlos Airport and a short section in <br /> the City of San Carlos.
