Beverly Webber stated she is a volunteer with the American Red Cross on the <br />Disaster Action Team. She stated that they place families in motel rooms and provide <br />them with needed items such as food, clothing and medicine to get them back on their <br />feet. She asked City Council to eliminate the occupancy tax on motel rooms because <br />10% is a hardship. <br />City Manager Everett stated that information would be communicated to City Council <br />on this subject for consideration. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR — <br />Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and <br />are enacted by one motion and one vote. There is no separate discussion of these <br />items unless a Council Member, Staff Member or Citizen so requests, in which event <br />the item will be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered in its normal <br />sequence on the agenda. <br />M/S Hartnett/Ira to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by <br />title adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. Council <br />Member Jordan removed Item 6.1.G for separate discussion. The motion passed by <br />a unanimous roll call vote. <br />6.1 Section — Motions <br />A. Motion to approve the minutes of February 24, 2003 as submitted; <br />MINUTE ORDER 03 -51 <br />B. Final Acceptance- Friendly Acres Area Storm Drain Improvements — Phase II <br />Project, and authorize the release of bonds. MINUTE ORDER 03 -52 <br />C. By motion approve the purchase of one 'Toro Groundsmaster 580 -D" lawn mower <br />in the amount of $62,869.54 from the State of California Office of Procurement <br />under the California Multiple Award Schedule " (CMAS) GS- OOF- 0087M; <br />MINUTE ORDER 03 -53 <br />D. Final Acceptance- Emergency power for Essential Facilities Project, and authorize <br />the release of bonds. MINUTE ORDER 03 -54 <br />E. Final Acceptance- Fair Oaks Community Center (FOCC) HVAC Project, and <br />authorize the release of bonds. MINUTE ORDER 03 -55 <br />F. Final Acceptance for the Improvement for Parcel Map No. 95 -1, located at 401- <br />595 Broadway (Ampex Site). — Engineering File No. 805 -02. And authorize the <br />release of bonds following the submission of a Maintenance Bond in the amount <br />of $9,000.00.
