F4,x
9. Option 1 extends the underground garage all the way up to the edge
of the buildings across Theatre Way. This would create a conflict
with relocating the existing water, sewer, and storm drain lines on
Theatre Way.
10. There would be no room for planting any street trees on either side of
the sidewalk area on Theatre Way.
B. Proposal Option 2 -Two Level Underground Parking Garage (590 Stalls)
1. Constructing an entrance on Theatre Way/Winslow would conflict
with re- aligning the box culvert when Block 2 is developed, although
less than Option 1.
2. There would be additional time required for redesigning the garage
and utilities.
3. Based on the dimensions provided by Mr. Watry, it appears that the
entrance to the garage would be off of Theater Way and Middlefield
Road. This would block traffic on Middlefield and Winslow, creating a
cul -de- sac /street closure on Middlefield Road.
4. If the design of the garage substantially changes from the original
EIR, then an amended EIR may be necessary, and the same will
apply if the size of the parking garage and/or the entrance deviates
from the original EIR.
5. There would be impacts and disruption to PG &E and PacBell
services. More than likely power, gas, and telephone lines would
have to be relocated. This would add additional time for private
utilities to relocate their facilities.
BL:ss
-2-
